“As a kid, I ALWAYS wanted to be the center of attention. My family had to constantly sit down and watch my living room productions, dance recitals, or hear my latest song on the recorder. As a pre-teen I made the switch to the stage in musical theatre, and became so in love that I am now in my final year of studying for a BFA degree in Musical Theatre. Performing is my creative outlet and my passion, but in the past it served more as a distraction and a mask for the struggles I desperately wanted to hide. After seeking treatment and starting the long road I am still traveling, performing is no longer an escape but my form of expression and an extension of the woman I am proud that I am becoming.
